  21. Steve says:

    Hello

Am downloading it as well, slow but its going. Say, if you guys are reading this I would love it if you would release a screensaver of the little demo thats running on your website.

  22. y0ungnoble says:

Love it. Artwork is beautiful. Gameplay is smooth. Like how you implemented the walkthru mini game for those who just can’t get it.

  23. Trekis says:

    Hurray I got mail :-) But with 10KB/s :-(

  24. studioraziel says:

What an amazingly beautiful game! Our daughter loves it. We haven’t played many games like this before, but after playing the demo, we’re big fans. Hope you have much success with this project.
    Be Well.

  25. khana says:

that was simply adorable! such a lovely game, and quite long, too. :)

adding the walkthrough to the game itself is quite genious – it’s an adventure, so people are bound to get stuck and look for walkthroughs, anyway, and this is a very clever solution for that.

I think I found a bug, though: once I had sent the oil buoj in one direction, I could not send it anywhere else (the button at the top refused to work.), so I had to redo a few screens to catch the dog. might just be a weird hickup on my pc’s part, though.

anyway, hugely enjoyed it, thank you so much! :)

My 7 year old son and I just started playing Machinarium – it is otherwordly!

Thank you very much for this gem of a game – i honestly think that Samorost and Machinarium will form part of his childhood memories just as much as “The Big Friendly Giant” and other childhood classics.

A very big “Thank you” to Amanita’s Team.

The wait since the pre order was truly worth it.

  27. Arash says:

I have waited for this game for a long time!! and I got that now form it’s website.
this game is a good example of how big ideas can come to life without any big name publishers!
    great job guys!

this game is a big success! and I hope to see more big surprises.
thank you very very much Amanita!
we are supporting you Amanita’s team :)

  28. Zsilu says:

Happy to be on mac ^^’ => Download time (less than 20 minutes for the soundtrack and the game) ! :p

  29. adam says:

somebody for the love of god tell me how to win that tic-tac-toe game in the bar! i’m about ready to smash his shiny face in! how can we win if he’s always got the first move and never makes any mistakes!!??

  30. Peter says:

Less than 20 minutes? :P some computers don’t even copy-paste that quick hahah

I’m downloading the full version now as well, it’s at 77% with 12,3 kB/s (a few minutes less than 2 hours left hahah) but that’s totally understandable, since A LOT of people pre-ordered, I’m surprised that the server even has some bandwidth left for me in the first place :D

    Sturdy server indeed :D

  31. Baron VonBaron says:

I can’t get the robotic owl to snap the line. I’ve started a new game and I still can’t seem to do it. Anyone know the problem?

  32. AndyF says:

Took quite a while to download but it was ABSOLUTELY worth the wait. I’ve lost my entire evening to the game. Love the art, love the music, love the puzzles… my wife even stepped in when she saw the go-moku puzzle and kicked that grumpy robot’s rusted butt. Thank you, thank you for creating such an enjoyable and engaging game.

  33. sobkas says:

Under the “Store” link there is no info about linux version only “(Win+Mac+Soundtrack)”. I think that adding Linux, will show that Linux is supported. Just like under “Download Full Game”.

  34. Nicola says:

Just finished it! what can I say, truly great game.. haven’t had this much fun since the good lucasarts days…

I tried to make it last a while… didn’t want to finish it right away!
Anyway thanks for the experience! Can’t wait for machinarium 2.

Oh, and good job with the quizzes.. real clever :P

  35. popsUlfr says:

    @Baron VonBaron:

You have to play accordeon with Josef often and fast and it will eventually be done ;)

  36. Rich says:

Great game, small bug for the clock/symbol puzzle. If you try to use any other item on the crank (after the crank has been inserted) then the item gets used up. Makes it impossible to continue.

  37. Zsilu says:

Adam ! He does make mistakes ^^, rarely, but he does :p ! Don’t give up ^^ !

  38. Zsilu says:

Baron ! I give u one tip ;) (if u’re still blocked ^^) Watch carefully the owl when u’re walking just under it ! Maybe this could help ;) !

  39. Robert O'Riordan says:

    Finished it!! Fantastic work guys!!

  40. Timo from Finland says:

What a great puzzle and what graphics!!! A must purchase for the christmas holidays. :-)

  41. gavin says:

i have to say that i havent play in so addictive game in a loooong time :), artworks are just stunning and music blew my brain to pieces :D. keep up ur great work :), cant wait for sequel.

  42. Simon says:

Hey, any news on this coming to PlayStation Network?

  43. Peter says:

Adam, here is a screenshot of my tic-tac-toe last winning move.

Please note: EVEN THOUGH THIS IS NOT A “WALKTHROUGH” SCREENSHOT, IT MAY SHOW A TACTIC OR HINT THAT COULD BE DEFINED AS A SPOILER. HOWEVER, YOU STILL HAVE TO PUZZLE IT OUT YOURSELF. DON’T CLICK THE LINK UNNECESSARILY :)

    ^^ A disclaimer is appropriate, I think ;)

Yesterday I was at the same point as you, I didn’t know how to win from one who doesn’t make mistakes. I was just looking at how he did it, applied it, and won in a few rounds.

  44. Iris says:

Just wanted to say thanks for an absolutely excellent, brilliant and beautiful game! I enjoyed it a lot! Lets just hope you´re making another one some day (=year) – a sequel maybe?! Again, thanks, from a mother and her children in Sweden

  45. Peter K says:

Just wanted to say thanks for making this wonderful game. I haven’t bought games in a long time, but got seduced by this. Wonderful in every way, the beautiful drawn graphics, the characterisation, imagination and superb soundtrack. Thanks for your hard work. You really succeeded.

  46. Garagarape says:

Wow! You made such a good game!
So poetic and humorous. I love the
graphics (reminds me of “de Crecy” comics a bit)
and the soundtracks are so nice.
I hope it will be a hit.
    You really deserve it.
    Thank you.

  47. Peter says:

    ^^Hello there, Peter :P

I’d also like to give a big thanks! The drawings are astounding, the music is spot-on and greatly composed, the puzzles are real braincrackers and very satisfying, a nice story as well :) the in-built walkthrough system is quite a unique feature, and the mini-game you have to do in order to get to the actual walkthrough is a brilliant idea!

I really enjoyed playing this game!

  48. kenest says:

Thanks for this wonderful game! The artworks, music & plot are exellent.

  49. Matt says:

Sending a quick note to let you know how much I’ve enjoyed the game. I loved the Samorosts, but your new work puts them to shame. Everything fits together so well, it’s obvious that you guys have poured your souls into this one. I’m working through the game with my girlfriend which has been a great experience. She’s not much of a gamer, but she absolutely loves to play this one. I wish you the best of luck!

  50. mimox says:

    This game is great!

I didn’t know about it before, else I would have preordered!

    -a happy Linux gamer :)
